Aksenov wants to take control of the Kerch crossing
Moscow - Simferopol, November 27 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) - Crimea decided to subordinate the Kerch crossing to itself in order to end the high cost of its services and corruption. The FAS suspects the Unified Transport Directorate (ETD) of inflating prices, which has become one of the reasons for the rise in food prices in the region.

A one-way passenger ticket costs 162 rubles, transportation of a passenger car costs 1,2-2,3 thousand rubles. (depending on dimensions), truck - 2,8-14,7 thousand rubles.
Crimean Transport Minister Anatoly Tsurkin told Kommersant that “checking the validity of tariffs on the ferry crossing is long overdue,” adding that “there could be excess profits there.”
The head of the “Trade of Crimea” association, Sergei Makeev, claims that due to inflated prices for crossings in the region, food prices are rising. Dissatisfaction with the work of ETD has been repeatedly expressed by suppliers of goods and managers of Crimean branches of retail chains, which have switched to almost 80% of goods supplied from the Russian Federation, adds Mr. Makeev.
“They said that corruption is rampant at the crossing: to let a truck skip the line, you need to pay about 7 thousand rubles, so queues and confusion are created artificially,” he claims.
Source "Kommersant" in the Crimean government says that Sergei Aksenov plans to “completely subordinate” the crossing to the region’s Ministry of Transport. This issue, according to the publication’s interlocutor, is already being “resolved in Moscow.” Back in April, the head of the FTS, Sergei Novikov, spoke about the need to introduce state regulation of ferry tariffs. The service has already prepared amendments to the law on natural monopolies, but the bill is still under consideration by the government.
