Aksenov will not allow the former owner of the Yalta film studio to challenge its forced buyout
Moscow - Simferopol, October 16 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) - Only one land near the Yalta film studio, purchased 10 years ago for $300 thousand, costs thirty times more. The Crimean authorities will revive it, and the former owner will not be able to challenge the forced buyout for years. This was stated by Crimean Prime Minister Sergei Aksenov at the “Business Breakfast” in the Moscow editorial office of “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”.

“It was purchased ten years ago for 1,3 million hryvnia. 30 hectares of land in the center of Yalta with property, all-Union brand. This film production factory was known to everyone without exception. And they sold it in dollars for about 300 thousand. Can we say that this is the real price?” Aksenov is indignant.
«The land there is thirty times more expensive,” continues the Crimean prime minister. – I’m not talking about the cost of the Yalta Film Studio brand itself. The former owners are trying to contact various officials. It is clear that everyone is starting to say that they paid other money, they gave something to someone. We are of little interest in this: who gave what to whom. The money didn't make it into the budget. Today there is a clear, understandable situation that significant objects for Crimea must be returned to the republic.”
According to Aksenov, “today there are people who want to produce films on this site. We ourselves are interested in this. First of all, to revive this brand. We will do everything possible to assist those potential investors who can really provide a high efficiency.”
“According to the procedure for the forced purchase of the studio, it was the decision of the Crimean authorities,” Aksenov explained. “We simply understood that we could no longer tolerate such arbitrariness.” At the same time, many say: forced ransom violates someone’s rights. I answer: then it was necessary to go through litigation. And we know how long you can sue. And ten years. I’ve already seen all this, I’ve gone through it more than once, and I myself can tell you about situations where processes that, it would seem, could be won in one day, take 10-15 years to complete. But the state does not receive taxes, loses jobs, certain positions. I think this is unacceptable in Crimea. It won't happen like that."
