Thus, according to Aksenov, the traffic police fined Bakharev for inaction in repairing roads in the capital of the republic last year. At the same time, the head of Crimea assures that then the roads could not be repaired “for technical reasons.”
“The traffic police began to fine heads of municipalities for not building roads when they were not allocated money for this. Last year, in Simferopol, the mayor was arrested and fined 300 thousand rubles. It’s clear that someone wants to show zeal, but we also need to balance the moments. If there was no line item in the budget, do you want them to go out and do it with their own money? We must understand that in this part we still have certain conditions of the transition period,” said Sergei Aksenov.
