Aksenov announced critical figures on coronavirus in Crimea
If 30-40 cases of infection with a new strain of coronavirus are registered in Crimea every day, the republic’s medical system will not be able to cope.
The head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov, stated this at a meeting of the headquarters to combat the spread of coronavirus infection, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the head of the region, in order to avoid this situation, the regime of strict self-isolation in the republic will not be lifted until the end of the month.
According to the headquarters, today another case of infection with a new strain of coronavirus was registered in Crimea, the total number of infected people in the republic is 29 people, of which 12 have already been discharged.
“We all understand that it’s a difficult situation, difficult for business. Yesterday we talked about how to shorten the deadline and let people work. We are looking at the federal center, waiting for recommendations - so far they are giving us recommendations that we can at least withstand the self-isolation regime for two more weeks.
Our main problem is one thing - we have already said as it is, that if we have 30-40 infected people a day, our medicine will not be able to overcome the situation in the sense that the threat of infection of employees and the measures taken similar in Armyansk, you you understand that this can continue to roll like a snowball,” said Aksenov.
