He stated this at a meeting in the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea.
“I want everyone to understand: any events should be organized not for officials, but for people. In this case, for veterans of the Great Patriotic War and their heirs. But it turned out that the participants of the “Immortal Regiment” action encountered difficulties in getting to the Eternal Flame. People came out with a high purpose, but their road was simply blocked. I personally had to give the command on the spot to move the mobile stage, which along the main street blocked the entire concert for the Crimeans. This should not happen in the future,” the press service of the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan quotes the official as saying.
Aksyonov noted that a large number of metal frames restricting movement also turned out to be an excessive security measure, and noted the disunity of all structures involved in the organization:
“I apologize to the Crimeans for the shortcomings that were identified during the festive events in the capital of Crimea, Simferopol. Thank you for pointing them out to us. All these shortcomings will be corrected without fail. Next year the events will be held in a more traditional format for Crimeans. This issue is under my personal control,” the Crimean governor assured.
Thank you!
