Aksenov called on people to refuse holidays in Crimea
Russians need to refrain from traveling to Crimea until restrictions are lifted and the high alert regime introduced due to the epidemic of the new strain of coronavirus is lifted.
The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Aksenov, all recreation centers, sanatoriums and boarding houses on the peninsula are closed, so visitors have nothing to do in the republic.
“In Crimea, as in other regions of the Russian Federation, there is a high alert regime. This regime involves a number of restrictive measures. At the same time, of course, control measures are being implemented today - administrative control by the municipal authorities, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, medical organizations, Rospotrebnadzor. Only systemically important enterprises are operating today.
At the same time, service and catering enterprises, unfortunately, are closed today. To be honest, I never thought that I would make such an appeal to our fellow citizens, however, there is no other way out today, you understand. I urge all our citizens to refrain today from coming to the territory of the Republic of Crimea, both for business trips and for recreation, since all Crimean sanatoriums and all recreation places are closed...
I am sure that after the restrictive measures are lifted, we will be happy to welcome you,” said Aksenov.
As of today, 45 cases of COVID-19 infection have been officially confirmed in Crimea. Of these, 22 people have already been discharged from hospitals. 18 cases of infection have been confirmed in Sevastopol. Five people recovered and were discharged from hospitals.
