Aksenov reported sad news for Crimean resorts
The holiday season in Crimea will most likely not take place, and quarantine measures will continue until a vaccine against a new strain of coronavirus is found.
The head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov, stated this at a meeting of the headquarters to combat the spread of COVID-19, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“All this is a long story, until a vaccine for this coronavirus is found, you and I will have to live with it, quarantine measures are unlikely to be lifted. We speak honestly, so that no one creates illusions, and accordingly, we understand. Yesterday we spoke with representatives of the resort sector, that is, separately on them: the resort sector, catering - types of activities with no prospect of opening in the near future...
Understanding that the holiday season is unlikely, to be honest, to take place. Only if favorable conditions on the peninsula allow, we are preparing our own program for domestic tourism, but for this there must be testimony from Rospotrebnadzor that the number of diseases is decreasing,” said Aksyonov.
The head of Crimea also emphasized that the self-isolation regime in the republic will be extended at least until May 18, when the results of the celebration of the May holidays by Crimeans will be visible. At the same time, from May 12, a mandatory mask regime will be introduced in the republic when visiting public places.
Let us remind you that as of today, 168 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the Republic of Crimea. Of these, 41 people have already been cured and discharged from hospitals, 1 infected person has died.
