“We have an election campaign and elections on September 14, we need to complete the issuance of passports,” Aksenov said during a staff meeting at the Council of Ministers on Thursday.
According to the official, it is also necessary to correct all the mistakes made by the passport office employees before the elections:
“For everyone in relation to whom mistakes were made, it is necessary to allocate a separate window with a separate person, and if necessary, we will select a person, but the situation must be resolved,” emphasized Sergei Aksyonov.
In turn, acting The head of the Federal Migration Service of Crimea, Petr Yarosh, said that 1,384 million passports have already been produced in the republic and are ready to be issued to citizens, which is 93% of the required number. At the same time, from 4 to 6 thousand passports are issued per day.
