Aksenov was not invited to watch the ballet with Putin
The head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, was not present yesterday at the opening of the Opera in Chersonesos festival, where Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived.
Formally, Sevastopol is another subject of the federation, but in fact Aksenov always came to the city during visits of top officials of the state. Now he did not return from vacation in order to watch the ballet with the president, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
On the first day of the festival, world ballet stars performed on a stage built in an archaeological reserve, performing roles from legendary European productions - “Corsair”, “Giselle”, “Swan Lake”, “Don Quixote”.
In addition to Sevastopol Governor Dmitry Ovsyannikov, the ballet with the head of state was watched by Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets and businessman Arkady Rotenberg, whose companies built the Crimean Bridge.
