Crimean Governor Sergei Aksyonov announced this on Monday during a staff meeting with deputy prime ministers, the press service of the Council of Ministers of Crimea reports.
According to the official, those squatting households that were actually put into operation and where payments for utilities were made for five years are legal.
“Some people misunderstood the authorities’ desire to provide all Crimeans, regardless of nationality, with assistance in obtaining land plots. Someone decided, as always, to work with the authorities on blackmail, on the principles of issuing ultimatums to the authorities. I want to say that this will not happen and I ask the citizens who are now carrying out unauthorized construction on illegally occupied land plots to come to their senses. All buildings will be demolished. Don't waste your money - the position is marked. An inventory of squatters was carried out 3-4 months ago, all squatters were filmed, photographed, the state of affairs at each of them was recorded by a working group, so all the buildings that appeared over the last 4-5 months will be liquidated,” warned Sergei Aksyonov.
