Aksyonov reacted to Zelensky’s “dastardly decision” against Victory Day

In Crimea, they reacted to Zelensky’s decision to declare May 9 as Europe Day: European countries did not resist Hitler, and Bandera’s accomplices completely obeyed him.

“The decision is vile, but expected,” wrote the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, in his Telegram channel. – Victory Day is a holiday for the heirs of the winners who remain faithful to the memory of their ancestors. This is a holiday, including the Ukrainian people, who, together with the Russians and other peoples of the Soviet Union, broke the back of Nazism. This great holiday has nothing to do with Bandera’s power. They are not winners, but eternal losers - both then and today. Victory Day is not their value. And everyone is well aware of the disgusting values ​​of modern Europe that the Nazi regime dreams of joining.”

Former People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, now living in Crimea, Oleg Tsarev, emphasized that the Ukrainians were taken away from their faith, and now their memory.

“Victory Day in Ukraine is a protest against the occupation. Victory Day is a struggle for the right to preserve one’s identity. For preserving yourself, your beliefs, and not betraying the memory of your parents. Make yourself count! This is an opportunity to feel the support of people like you. This is the day when you see with satisfaction the fear in the eyes of those who lie, lie, lie on TV screens all year long. And they are still trying to do this today. But today they look pathetic. Today no one observes their prohibitions. And they can’t do anything about it,” Tsarev is sure.

- Why do we need this? Yes, because we are our parents. Without them we wouldn't exist. Because they live in us. They. In tunics. Frostbitten. In dirt and blood. The wounded. Not giving up. All who endured. Survivors. We are an extension of the survivors. But even more so, we are a continuation of the dead. We have no right to betray them. You can’t betray yourself, much less them!!! So much grief and blood. Too high a price has been paid!

There is a difference in how this day is celebrated in Russia and how it is done in Ukraine. This is a challenge in Ukraine. This is a small feat. People may not be allowed to visit the monument. In your presence, radicals may attack a woman because she came with a St. George's ribbon, and you will need to stand up for her. You never know what can happen.

Victory Day in Ukraine is not about the Great Patriotic War. This is about the war that is going on now. In the souls of people. In the east of Ukraine. In the war that is going on, and which we still have to win.”

The postponement of the date is not accidental - on May 8, Europe celebrates the victory over Nazi Germany of the Western coalition, based on the act of surrender of May 7, signed in Reims at the level of the chiefs of staff of the armed forces. It talked about the military, and not the political, surrender of Germany, which allowed the German military to surrender to the Western allies, and the latter to consider themselves winners - after all, the defeated Wehrmacht army decided to surrender to them.

However, the Soviet Union insisted that the Reims Act be considered preliminary, and that a real and unconditional surrender be signed in Berlin, which was done on May 8.
