Aksyonov involved a famous designer in the formation of a Crimean counter-sniper group
Under the patronage of the head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, a counter-sniper unit is being formed on the peninsula to participate in the SVO.
The designer of long-range high-precision rifles, Vladislav Lobaev, announced this on air on Crimea 24, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The formation of such a unit in the form of a “fire brigade” is now in full swing. This will allow the warring units, which for some reason did not bother to purchase high-precision modern sniper weapons or were unable to organize training, or did not have time, to receive such counter-sniper services, so to speak. When a specialized unit, properly trained and equipped, will carry out tasks in the hottest sectors of the front, where the activity of enemy snipers is very high, it will carry out tasks as needed and as it should,” Lobaev explained.
According to him, this unit will be able to compensate for some shortcomings in the equipment and training of snipers.
“The creation of this unit is personally supervised by Sergei Valerievich Aksenov; this is generally his initiative, as is the creation of a training center and sniper training school. This idea has been in the air for a long time and this need was voiced by many fighters. This is the first such step in modern history and in the history of this war. Literally, the private initiative of a high-ranking official was expressed in the form of the creation of a real combat unit. Very well equipped and capable of truly performing the most complex sniper tasks,” added Lobaev.
The weapons designer assured that the unit will be provided with the full range of weapons, and several dozen rifles are already at its disposal. The production of sniper rifles operates in three shifts and is ready to meet ever-increasing needs. But, as it turned out, one cartridge for such a weapon costs 3,5 thousand rubles, and Lobaev’s rifle itself has not been adopted by the Russian Ministry of Defense. Therefore, the Crimean initiative is very opportune now.
