Aksyonov believes in “price stabilization” thanks to the Crimean Bridge
Commissioning of the railway part of the Crimean Bridge should lead to “stabilization” of prices for goods in the republic. The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, stated this at a press conference in Simferopol, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Aksenov, authorities expect that with the opening of the bridge, logistics with the peninsula will be improved.
“Of course, we expect that our logistics will be simplified, the delivery of food, construction materials and so on. And yet, the commissioning of the bridge will affect the pricing policy of the Republic of Crimea. This should be and, nevertheless, I believe in it, a decrease in one way or another, stabilization will be the cost of the most necessary goods that our population uses,” Aksenov said.
Previously, Aksenov expected prices to decline after the launch of traffic on the Crimean Bridge. He later statedthat we need to wait for the completion of the railway part and increased competition among suppliers.
Aksenov also complained that speculators in Crimea inflate prices for building materials by 7-8 times.
In September of this year, the head of Crimea said that if the launch of railway traffic to Crimea does not bring a reduction in prices for food and goods, the republican authorities will turn to President Vladimir Putin for help.
