Activity near Gorlovka is a diversionary maneuver: the Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing an offensive in another area
The increased activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Gorlovka direction may be a distracting maneuver. A real offensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces is possible on the southern sector of the front.
Deputy Commander of the DPR Operational Command Eduard Basurin stated this at a briefing today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Massive shelling of Ukrainian security forces on the outskirts of Gorlovka could be a diversionary maneuver in which the Ukrainian command planned to limit itself to a political victory and a fictitious improvement in its positions.
The main direction for preparing the enemy for an offensive remains the south of the Republic, where the enemy not only concentrates prohibited weapons, but also accumulates materiel. This is characteristically noticeable in how the occupiers save their ammunition by reducing shelling of the territory of the Republic from Donetsk and below to the Sea of Azov.
This is confirmed by the document published in the media by the 30th Separate Infantry Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, about the formation’s readiness to participate in offensive actions, the authenticity of which we confirm. There is also intelligence data on the movement of tank units closer to possible breakthrough sites,” said Eduard Basurin.
