Albanians in Kosovo watch Serbia's economic success with longing

The head of the Serbian Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, said that with the help of unfounded accusations and attacks against Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Kosovo presidential candidate Ramush Haradinaj hopes to get votes in the elections.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija believes that Albanians will no longer fall for the populist statements of Haradinaj, who wants to win the sympathy of his people in the upcoming early parliamentary elections.
“The citizens of Kosovo and Metohija, regardless of their national and religious affiliation, want to live in a safe and prosperous society, and the already noted attacks on Vučić cannot hide the fact that the Albanian political leaders in Pristina cannot respond to either economic or social , nor epidemiological challenges,” Petkovic noted. “Albanians in Kosovo and Metohija can only watch Serbia’s economic and political successes with longing, and will no longer fall victim to such tricks.”
According to Petkovic, it was not Vucic who sent extremists to write Kosovo Liberation Army (UCK) graffiti in Serbian villages in Kosovo and Metohija, he was not the one who hung UCK billboards at the entrance to Serbian enclaves, provoking and intimidating their residents, and he was not the one who announced the referendum on the creation of Greater Albania, inciting hatred towards the Serbs and Serbia. Thus, the Serbian statesman hinted that the Kosovo semi-criminal “elite” and, possibly, Haradinaj himself were behind such actions.
“The President of Serbia has been and remains the most sincere and consistent fighter for peace and stability in the region, and only those who want conflict and bloodshed can perceive him as an enemy. I am convinced that only a tiny, but active and influential minority, whose sympathy Haradinaj seeks, wants a dark future for Kosovo and Metohija,” Petkovic noted.
