Albanians are leaving the Kosovo police in droves. New recruits are completely illiterate
The director of the Kosovo Police, Samedin Mehmeti, said that the trend towards dismissal of employees continues and their number has increased.
Mehmeti stated this at the Kosovo Security Committee, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Year after year we can see that the number of people leaving the service is increasing,” Mehmeti said, speaking at the Security Committee. “I don’t have the exact number, but it’s growing every day, and that’s not good.”
Also, according to him, all 125 police candidates were able to pass only the written part of the test, which potential employees must pass when applying for a job.
“The very fact that 125 people passed the written exam and did not pass the oral part of the exam suggests that we have problems of a certain nature. Whether it’s a social problem or something else, I don’t have an answer yet,” Samedin Mehmeti commented on the situation.
