Albania considers Kosovo its territory
The head of the Albanian Foreign Ministry, Gent Tsakai, proposed that the Kosovo authorities create a common platform for dialogue with Serbia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“First, Kosovo must define a political platform, and Albania will certainly support it. Secondly, there must be recognition of Kosovo by Serbia, which is necessary for a stable agreement. Thirdly, this agreement must be reached with the consent of the US and the EU,” Tsakai said.
The Chairman of the Committee on Kosovo and Metohija of the Serbian Parliament, Milovan Dretsun, believes that the statements of the Albanian Prime Minister indicate the desire of this country to annex Kosovo.
“They are already openly showing that their only goal is to create a “Greater Albania.” Albania behaves as if Kosovo is part of its territory, and not part of the territory of Serbia, and is trying to impose a position on some kind of joint actions by Albania and Kosovo in negotiations with Belgrade. They want to join all the negotiations that the false state is conducting, but this will not happen,” Dretsun emphasized.
As follows from the ideas of Greater Albania, the northwestern regions of North Macedonia, the southern borders of Serbia, including Kosovo and the Presevo Valley, and the southern regions of Montenegro populated by Albanians should be annexed to modern Albania. Unofficially, the ideologists of Albanian nationalism include in Greater Albania the northern regions of Greece, where there is almost no Albanian population left.
