The so-called “special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kosovo ROSU” burst into the southernmost Serbian enclave of the region - Štrpce, in search of goods made in Serbia.

This was announced by the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija under the Government of Serbia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“They blocked three stores, and local residents who started shopping were unable to complete the process and were scared by Albin Kurti’s latest show of force,” Petkovic commented on the incident. “This is the fourth time in the last few months that Kurti has sent armed special forces to Štrpce to intimidate and try to expel the remaining Serbs from this southernmost region of Serbia and sever their ties with other Serbian regions.”

According to Petkovic, Kosovo’s “Prime Minister” Albin Kurti is using the pretext of “fighting smuggling” as a cover for an attack on the Serbs and a show of force “to shake up the Serbs and provoke their exodus with frequent actions.” The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija noted that the residents of Štrpce do not give in to provocations and are determined to stay and survive in their homes, and the only loser from such unreasonable actions will be Kurti himself.

“The state of Serbia will continue to help Štrpce, both economically and in any other way, and Kurti cannot prevent this,” Petkovic said.

Let us remind you that due to the “reciprocity measures” introduced by Prtistina, all goods from Serbia are considered illegal in Kosovo and are therefore subject to confiscation and destruction. At the same time, the Serbian enclaves of the region can only be supplied from Serbia, and “illegally”, and blocking such illegal flows of goods threatens them with a humanitarian catastrophe. The town and community of Štrpce, home to about 13 thousand people, of whom 65% are Serbs, borders the Albanian regions of North Macedonia and has no access to central Serbia.
