Alexander Borodai became an honorary citizen of the DPR
Today, during a solemn meeting in honor of Republic Day in Donetsk, the head of the Union of Donbass Volunteers, Alexander Boroday, was awarded the title “Honorary Citizen of the Donetsk People’s Republic” for strengthening the international authority of the country and special services in the formation and development of the DPR.
Also, the head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, presented the leader of Russian volunteers with an award watch, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I haven't been here for a long time. Three and a half years have passed. You know, at one time, when I spoke on Lenin Square in front of people, I told them - I tell you: “Donetsk residents, Russia is with you! The Russian people are with you!”
I talked to journalists, some asked me: “Don’t you think that you deceived them?” I want to tell you: no, it doesn’t seem like it – Russia is with you, the Russian people are with you, and Russian volunteers are with you. Now, as I see, you are doing well. The republic is being built and created. Honestly, I am very pleased to look at the city of Donetsk,” Borodai said during his speech.
“Alexander Vladimirovich, just a huge thank you to you and everyone who is with you. For how beautiful and good the city of Donetsk is, despite the military threat,” the leader of the Russian volunteers thanked the head of the DPR.
“But if a real, serious military thunderstorm strikes, rest assured that we, the Russian people, Russian volunteers, Russia, will not refuse you either help or support,” added Alexander Boroday.
