Alexander Prokhanov issued an unexpectedly sharp warning to the Kremlin
The famous Russian publicist Alexander Prokhanov came out with an unexpectedly harsh article in which he warns the leadership of the Russian Federation about the growing disappointment of the population, which pro-Western liberals who are preparing a coup are skillfully taking advantage of.
Only a breakthrough in the country’s development can thwart the plans of Russia’s enemies, and this is what the population expects from Vladimir Putin, the author believes.
“After the Crimean triumph came Donetsk disappointment. The Kremlin’s deliberate destruction of the great plan of Novorossiya, stopping the militias advancing on Mariupol, the ridiculous Minsk agreements that doomed the Donbass to eternal bombing and bloodshed - all this extinguished the Crimean sun, extinguished the triumph of Putin Tauride. The ruin of small and medium-sized businesses, the impoverishment of the masses, countless promises that were not fulfilled, turned many patriots from ardent supporters of the Kremlin into oppositionists and brought them closer to radical liberals,” writes Prokhanov on the KM.Ru portal.
According to the author, the population expected the president to formulate “the concept of Russian development, the formula for a new breakthrough,” but this did not happen.
Prokhanov writes about the threat of a coup in Russia and subsequent chaos.
“The coronavirus has discolored and weakened all previous ideological promises, talk about national bonds, about the inextricability of Russian history. We again face the threat of a new colossal rupture, when the post-Soviet Yeltsin-Putin state, having existed for thirty years, froze on the edge of a black historical pit. How to avoid falling into a hole? How to prevent revolution and avoid chaos? – he shares his fears.
“Historical time is short. This time is not enough for slow evolution. It can only be enough for a transformation, which has happened more than once in Russian history. The will of the prophets made the mountains move. The prayer of the righteous saved cities from incineration. The sacrificial service of kings and leaders to their state preserved this state. The landslide is restrained not by concrete supports, not by gouges, but by a powerful and believing gaze that stops the state sliding down the mountain. An immediate impetus for development,” calls Prokhanov.
