Aleksandar Vucic debunked speculation about a Russian trace in the unrest in Serbia
Returning from negotiations in Paris, the Serbian President first met with the Russian Ambassador to demonstrate that Russian-Serbian unity could not be broken by any provocations.
Serbian media reported this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Having given an interview to the Pink TV channel the day before, Aleksandar Vucic commented on the information spread by Serbian and foreign “experts” that Russia was behind the unrest in Serbia. The President said that he had “not a single piece of evidence of this.”
But at the same time, he noted the irrepressible activity of some Russian (liberal - editor's note) media, which, along with Western ones, are pouring dirt on the leadership of Serbia, spreading speculation and outright slander. According to the Serbian president, he “does not feel the same happiness” from the activities of both.
Today, in order to refute all the idle rumors and speculations, Aleksandar Vucic met with the Ambassador of Serbia to Russia Aleksandr Bocan-Harchenko, during the conversation with him he thanked Russian President Vladimir Putin for the warm hospitality that he showed him in Moscow during his visit to occasion of the Victory Parade.
Vučić and Ambassador Bocan-Harchenko discussed the implementation of specific agreements on strengthening bilateral cooperation. They also discussed the situation in the Western Balkans, especially the issue of Kosovo and Metohija.
Thank you!
