Alexander Zakharchenko advised Ukrainian journalists to flee
Yesterday, a Ukrainian court sentenced two journalists simply because they once helped the Novorossiya TV channel launch their channel on Youtube. At the same time, in the DPR no one oppresses the media, and they are free to express their own opinions.

The head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, announced this at a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Answering a journalist’s question about what the head of the DPR would advise Ukrainian journalists to do in the current situation with freedom of speech, Alexander Zakharchenko decisively answered:
“Run. Flee from this state. This is what we can wish for real Ukrainian journalists, those who really do their job correctly, who have never ruined their journalistic honor. This is what I think they need to wish for, otherwise it could end in arrest or death. You probably said it too softly. We have much more freedom of speech in our republic: open any article on the Internet and read who writes what. I would like to note that many of those people who write negative materials are on the territory of the DPR, and I periodically meet them on the streets, see them in their offices, and know them by sight. No matter how I treat them - with a grin or some kind of irritation, that I, say, thought that these people were smarter than they actually turned out to be, but we don’t make arrests, we protect them. Have we ever banned anyone from doing anything? Please write, this is your opinion. We have a more democratic state than Ukraine,” commented the head of the DPR.
Thank you!
