Alexander Zakharchenko wounded in Debaltsevo, – media
Donetsk, February 17 (PolitNavigator, Mikael Chagalyan) – The head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Alexander Zakharchenko, received a bullet wound during a battle with Ukrainian security forces in the center of Debaltsevo.

According to the LifeNews TV channel, Zakharchenko was running across the roadway during intense small arms fire and was wounded in the ankle. The security of the head of the DPR provided him with first aid, tightening his leg with a tourniquet and applying a bandage.
Zakharchenko was taken to a transit hospital, from where he was taken to Alchevsk along with three wounded militiamen. His life is not in danger, the injury is minor. “The head of the DPR was conscious during transportation and feels great,” the TV channel reports.
