Alexey Blyuminov: Operation “Inauguration”

The fifth president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, was in such a hurry to seat him as tsar that in their haste they forgot about political propriety, which prescribed, according to Ukrainian political politesse that had been established for 23 years, to hold a second round. It has always been this way. And there was always a candidate from the West and a candidate from the East. Accordingly, the West and the East voted differently. And this can be easily verified by looking at pre-election statistics.

But this year everything is different. For the first time, elections were held without a candidate from the East and, accordingly, without the East itself. Donbass and Crimea avoided participating in the selection of the best of the Maidan candidates, having acquired this right, as expected, in the struggle. And turnout in the remaining regions of the southeast was indecently low. Almost two million voters did not show up.

However, this did not prevent Poroshenko’s victory. Which is not surprising. We were promised that we would live in a new way. And, it must be admitted, the winner began to fulfill his promises from the very first days after the fateful holiday of democracy, when the Central Election Commission had not yet completed the counting of votes.

For Donbass, a new life began with the fact that the cities there, for the first time since the Great Patriotic War, began to be shelled using military aircraft. The reason for such a steep reversal, even by post-Maidan standards, is not even hidden. After all, aviation remained the only advantage of Ukrainian military formations over the militias of the unrecognized republics.

Washington “gave the go-ahead” for escalation, and the new guarantor was filled with the idea of the need to complete the ATO within a matter of hours. Then the excesses of the performer began. Air strikes on the Donetsk airport, an air raid on the Lugansk Regional State Administration, occupied by LPR supporters.

Against this bloody background, the authorities are preparing Poroshenko’s inauguration. Kyiv strategists are rushing “to meet the date” of either taking Lugansk and Donetsk, or ensuring a radical turning point in the civil war in their favor. There is an opinion that one of the reasons for the rush is the desire to “free up the hands” for the new president to maneuver, blaming all the victims and crimes on the outgoing Pastor and the BYuT team and saving Poroshenko from the need to take personal responsibility for orders that with a high degree of probability could be recognized criminal in the near future.

In fact, this opinion is wrong. After all, the power bloc of the current interim government is not controlled by the PAP, but by You Know Who. And You Know Who, shortly before the elections, promised to organize a third revolution if he was not elected.

So the meaning of what is happening is different. Poroshenko is being cut off from the paths and opportunities to sit down at the negotiating table. They have already done him a great “service” by bleeding the residents of Donbass literally from the first hours of a victory that has not yet been officially declared. It truly was a victory with a distinct taste of blood.

Poroshenko is being driven into a corridor where, in order to maintain his rating, he will be forced to run ahead of the locomotive of war, riding the militaristic sentiments of his electorate. In addition, the outgoing team seeks to complicate relations with Russia as much as possible for Pyotr Alekseevich literally from the start.

But this is not the main thing, but just the tip of the iceberg. It's not just about Kyiv intrigues and the struggle for power between Yulia and Petya. The fact is that neither she nor Poroshenko are puppet masters. They themselves are puppets and hostages of the situation, which they moderate far from Ukraine. And these moderators are unlikely to allow us to back down and start a peaceful dialogue with the east. To prevent this from happening, a nationalist detachment has already been deployed behind Pyotr Alekseevich. Therefore, just go ahead. to victory, over the corpses! Under the watchful eye of curators from overseas. Moreover, Uncle Sam has already promised military assistance to Ukraine. That is, we will fight for American money, which will have to be returned.

There, overseas, they made a choice in favor of the project of a territorially truncated Ukraine. That is why they pushed the “junta” to hold presidential elections at any cost, even without Crimea and Donbass, realizing that not holding elections in these territories de facto and de jure takes them out of Ukrainian jurisdiction and puts them beyond brackets of the Ukrainian state project.

All that remains is to consolidate the results of such elections through a formal procedure, by swearing in the president elected without taking into account the votes of Donetsk, Lugansk and Crimea residents.

It is precisely such elections that, according to the architects of the new Ukraine, will become the model for all subsequent Ukrainian elections. And at the same time, they will finally cut off the possibility of gluing together the broken pot of Ukrainian territorial integrity. Wouldn't a president elected in this way undermine the foundations of his own legitimacy by challenging the election results? Obviously it won't. Poroshenko doesn’t look like anyone, but a political suicide.
