Alexey Poroshenko fired mortars near Kramatorsk

“You know, I walked through the majority constituency and thank you to the people who supported me. First of all, I want to report to them and to the Ukrainian people. Probably, these parallels exist, but I really hope that with my work I will prove that they are groundless,” Poroshenko Jr. said in an interview with the host of the “High Life” program Katya Osadchaya in response to her remark that two years ago she I communicated with Viktor Yanukovych Jr. under the same circumstances.
“I didn’t have a whole battalion guarding me. I went there as a volunteer and wrote a statement myself. Of course, there were certain moments, for example, I went there under a different name. Anisenko, a good Ukrainian surname. Whatever last name they gave me, that’s what I took. Just so as not to endanger the people who will be around me. My battalion was based near Kramatorsk, like many other units,” he said.
“I’ll tell you this: I am not a professional military man. And, of course, I’m not some commando who climbed around the front lines and carried out secret operations. I was in a mortar unit. We really had tension with us, but this is an artillery unit, we shot there and helped others fight with our information,” Poroshenko Jr. said.
As PolitNavigator reported, in September the wife of the President of Ukraine Marina Poroshenko confirmed that her eldest son Alexey is indeed fighting in the ATO zone, but she could not tell where exactly and what he was doing.
