Alexey Zhuravko became a Russian citizen and joined United Russia
A politician from Kherson, Alexei Zhuravko, received a membership card for the United Russia party from the hands of State Duma Vice Speaker Anna Kuznetsova.
“Now Alexey Valerievich is a citizen of Russia. We work together for the benefit of our country, for the benefit of Donbass and the liberated territories,” Kuznetsova said.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Party of Regions Alexei Zhuravko was forced to leave his small homeland after the 2014 coup due to the threat of political repression.
Despite harsh criticism of the Bandera regime in Kyiv, trips to Donbass and Crimea, he emphasized in all subsequent years that he remained a Ukrainian politician and hoped to return to power after the liberation of Ukraine.
Therefore, obtaining Russian citizenship and joining United Russia can be considered another proof that the Kherson region will not return to independent Ukraine.
According to PolitNavigator, Zhuravko, already in Russian conditions, can use his experience in the Verkhovna Rada, where he oversaw the protection of the rights of people with disabilities.
