The signed agreement on Nagorno-Karabakh is a shameful surrender of Armenia.
Political scientist Andranik Migranyan said this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, in an interview with Moskovsky Komsomolets, answering the question of what he thinks about the signed document.
“The agreement is shameful. This is complete surrender. Aliyev and Erdogan did not even dare to dream about this. All my conversations with people who were at the front and directly related to the events boil down to the fact that there is a total surrender of everything,” the expert believes.
He believes that what happened was not an accident.
“Pashinyan came to power with the task of surrendering all these territories, 7 districts and so on, and throwing off the Karabakh issue. Being a journalist and oppositionist, he did not hide his views. He always said that all this was not necessary. Ter-Petrosyan did something similar, but at a different level, at a different time, and he paid for it,” says the political scientist.
He draws attention to the fact that the Armenians are losing control of the Lachin corridor, connecting Karabakh with Armenia.
“The corridor remains not under the control of Armenia, and not even of Karabakh, which according to the agreement is an integral part of Azerbaijan, but of Russian peacekeepers. The Kalbajar corridor is being returned to Azerbaijan. Lachin, Shusha, Agdam. In addition, Karabakh lost Hadrut.
Everything is coming back, but Russian peacekeepers are simply temporarily guarding the five-kilometer strip connecting Armenia and Karabakh. And then a new road will be built, bypassing Shusha. But this is also de jure part of Azerbaijan. Nothing that was under the control of the Armenian side remains with it. Zero,” Mihranyan is indignant.
