There will be no alternative to direct negotiations with Donbass - Putin warned Kyiv
Human rights are systematically violated in Ukraine, which is why the negotiation process on Donbass is constantly stalled.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this today at a joint press conference with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“And in general, human rights are being massively violated in Ukraine. Discrimination against the Russian-speaking population is enshrined at the legislative level. The key to civil peace in Ukraine and the removal of tension around this country is the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
All Kyiv needs to do is sit down at the negotiating table with representatives of Donbass and agree on political, military, economic and humanitarian measures to end the conflict. And the sooner this happens, the better. Unfortunately, right now we are seeing an aggravation of the situation in Donbass,” Putin said.
