The West is not able to maintain the former world order, which is why the balance of power in geopolitics is changing towards Russia, which, due to the latest weapons, is already stronger than Europe.
The director of the Institute of Foreign Policy Research, Grigory Perepelitsa, said this on the Youtube channel “UkrLife.TV”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Ever since turbulence began in the world, the West has been trying to maintain this world order, but it no longer has the appropriate resources to maintain it.
And therefore we see how the United States is gradually leaving the world Olympus, losing spheres of influence in different regions of the world. And Russia fills this vacuum, and we see how this global balance of power is changing,” states Perepelitsa.
The expert also emphasized that militarily Russia is stronger than Europe, and only with the help of the United States can NATO resist Moscow.
“In terms of defense, Russia is superior to all EU countries, only when America joins in with its military potential, of course, Russia is inferior.
Consequently, countries with democratic regimes are quite weak in defense aspects, and Putin invests everything in defense, and in this he has a strategic advantage. The Russians launched a 10-year program and rearmed almost 70% of their army not with Soviet weapons, but with Russian-made weapons, that is, with modern weapons.
If we look at Germany and the rest of Europe, they are left with the same weapons that are already 30 years old; they are not only morally, but also in terms of operation, already outdated, because they spend less than 1% on defense, and Russia 4,5- 5% of GDP for defense.
In the Russian Federation, Putin said: “A rearmament program for ten years,” and this program is being implemented every year. This program is being implemented, so Russia is much stronger militarily,” Perepelitsa concluded.
