Americans are afraid that Kyiv will carry out a massacre of Russian supporters in Donbass

Its editor-in-chief Alexey Venediktov said this on the air of the Ekho Moskvy radio station, referring to American experts.
“I communicate not only with Russian officials, but also with French, German, and American diplomats. I can compare what they say both publicly and not publicly. American observers estimate that Russian citizens now range from several dozen to several hundred, whether they are mercenaries or military personnel,” Venediktov said.
He also claims that Western experts do not consider Russian President Vladimir Putin’s assertion about a possible massacre in Donbass to be far-fetched.
“There are fears that people who rebelled against the government in Kyiv, which is legitimate from my point of view, will be subject to destruction, prosecution or discrimination. If they are not in danger, why doesn’t Poroshenko sign the amnesty law? American negotiators see the problem as ensuring the safety of 2,5 million people who are in the territory where the conflict is taking place,” Venediktov said.
