The Americans bought a port near Odessa
Odessa, February 25 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The American private equity fund Siguler Guff & Company, which manages assets worth more than 10 billion US dollars on three continents, has become a new shareholder of the private enterprise Container Terminal Ilyichevsk (KTI). The share of indirect participation of a new investor in KTI is 50%.

KTI director Andrey Pavlyutin expressed hope that the enterprise will develop thanks to American investors.
“Representatives of Siguler Guff & Company also see great prospects in their participation in KTI. The Ukrainian economy will be revived. There has been a significant political reset and important reforms are being implemented. Rich resources and a highly educated population of 45 million provide new opportunities,” the report notes.
According to the American Foundation, the implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU “will inevitably increase Ukraine’s involvement in world trade. KTI, as one of the market leaders, will grow along with the economic revival of the country. The investor is confident that their decision to come to Ukraine will send a positive signal to the global investment community and will contribute to the growth of attracting foreign capital to Ukraine.”
In addition to Siguler Guff & Company, the owners of KTI today are the German forwarding company SRR Deutschland with a 25% stake in the company and the general director of KTI, citizen of Ukraine Andrey Pavlyutin, who owns 25%.
