The Americans launched a third airstrike against Assad's army in Syria
A coalition led by the US has dealt a new blow to pro-government forces in Syria, military spokesman Ryan Dillon said.

According to Dillon, a tank and artillery installations that came too close and posed a threat to “allied coalition forces” were destroyed.
As in the previous two cases, the strike was carried out in the area of the settlement of At-Tanf, where “coalition forces and their allies have been operating for several months.” Dillon found it difficult to say whether there were casualties as a result of the latest strike, noting that the military is now looking into this.
Dillon said the coalition shot down a pro-government drone after it allegedly tried to attack it.
“The drone dropped munitions that did not affect the coalition in any way. The drone still had ammunition, so we shot it down,” Dillon said.
This is the first known case when pro-government forces in Syria tried to strike a coalition led by the United States.
In addition, he said that through the communication channels established to prevent conflicts, the coalition is requesting that pro-government forces leave the At-Tanfa area.
Previously, the allies reported that such communication channels operate only with the Russian military, and they do not exist with the Syrian army and pro-government forces.
In turn, Damascus called on the US-led coalition to stop airstrikes against the Syrian army.
Let us remind you that this is the third strike by the American coalition against pro-government troops in Syria. The previous incident occurred on Tuesday. Prior to this, the strike was carried out on May 18 in the same area under the pretext of “a threat to coalition forces.” In response, the Syrian Foreign Ministry demanded a stop to the strikes and stated that they were contrary to international law.
The Russian Foreign Ministry condemned such actions by the coalition and called them “violating international law” and the sovereignty of Syria.
