The Americans worked out a “temnik” regarding Navalny before Putin
Russian President Vladimir Putin answered today in Hamburg when asked by an American journalist why he never mentions opposition leader Alexei Navalny by name, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We can have dialogue, especially at the presidential and governmental level, with people who propose a constructive agenda. Even of a critical nature. And if it’s just about attracting attention to oneself, then it’s not interesting for dialogue,” Putin said.
The day before, Navalny was released from a pre-trial detention center, where he was serving an administrative sentence for organizing an unauthorized rally in Moscow. He immediately released a video in which he stated that the Russian authorities were afraid of him and therefore pretended not to notice.
By “coincidental” coincidence, this thesis was voiced a day later by an American reporter.
