This was stated by US Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, Espresso.TV reports.

“Over the past 2,5 years, we have provided approximately $1,3 billion in assistance. In particular, over 600 million for the security sector,” she said.

In addition, Yovanovitch said that the United States is conducting military exercises at the Yavoriv training ground in the Lviv region.

“This is important because we work with instructors to NATO standards. Therefore, this is part of the effort with the goal of having an army according to NATO standards by 2020,” the ambassador added.
