“General Breedlove is right. There are every indication that the separatists in eastern Ukraine, no doubt backed by Russia, are preparing for a new round of hostilities. And we support Ukraine with defense weapons,” Carter said.
Earlier, on May 1, the commander-in-chief of NATO forces in Europe, General Philip Breedlove, accused Russia of allegedly using the calm in the Donbass to regroup its troops for a possible further offensive.
