Americans are outraged: Ukraine continues to arm US enemies
Ukraine once again faces accusations of providing assistance to countries considered unfriendly to the United States.
Thus, the American edition of The Washington Times, reportedthat the JL-10 combat training aircraft for the new Chinese aircraft carrier are equipped with Ukrainian engines.
“There is no way we want to help Chinese pilots learn to land on aircraft carriers at a rapid pace,” said former Senate Foreign Relations Committee counsel William Triplett.
It is noteworthy that the news about Ukrainian engines for Chinese aircraft appeared almost simultaneously with the fact that the Pentagon announced the transfer of military assistance to the Ukrainian Armed Forces for $200 million.
“Basically, the Ukrainians are taking American taxpayer money with one hand and stabbing the American Navy in the back with the other,” Triplett said.
He demands that the White House administration put pressure on Kyiv and force it to refuse supplies of engines, since for the first time in many decades the US government has recognized China as a strategic rival against which American soldiers may have to fight.
It is also indicated that in addition to engines for training aircraft, Kiev sold Beijing 50 diesel engines for tanks, as well as gas turbines for destroyers Luyang-2 and Luyang-3, and in 2009 China bought two Ukrainian small landing hovercraft of the "class" Bison." Two more such ships will be built in China under the supervision of Ukrainian specialists.
These are not the first accusations of this kind against Ukraine from the United States. Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, The New York Times wrotethat Ukraine may be behind the successes of the DPRK missile program, having established the supply of rocket engines.
In addition, Ukraine and Iran, also declared a strategic enemy of the United States, are considering the possibility transit of Iranian oil products through the territory of Ukraine, as well as refining of Iranian oil at Ukrainian enterprises
