Crimean Alex Brezhnev, who has lived in the United States since 1997, visited his native Simferopol for the first time in 20 years and was pleasantly surprised by how the capital of the Russian republic lives today.

In his video blog “America Inside Out,” he especially highlighted the transport infrastructure of Simferopol, comfortable Crimean trolleybuses and stops, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Bus and trolleybus stops are quite comfortable, protect from rain and are designed in a beautiful style. But that is not all. You can charge your phone. I’ve never seen anything like this anywhere in the world, let alone in the USA – and there’s nothing like this in Paris. Your phone is dead - you can charge it at the bus stop, this shocked me.

The trolleybuses are all brand new, made by LIAZ. I have already ridden it a couple of times - there is no crowding, there are free places, it is very comfortable, because it is soft and there is no hum from the engine. What struck me most was that there was free Wi-Fi at the bus stops; I have never seen this anywhere in the world.

Usually in America they are lured that there is free Wi-Fi somewhere in McDonald's, in a supermarket, but when you get there, your phone is connected, but there is no Internet... A comfortable shop - clean, not covered in spit. This stop is simply magical - there is also XNUMX-hour video surveillance. That is, no one will rob you or kill you, you have a feeling of complete security,” writes Brezhnev.

The blogger also shared his experience of waiting for a bus in one of the American cities.

“I remember in the US I waited for a bus for two hours at a bus stop, and it didn’t arrive, and I didn’t get to downtown Fargo. But when I came here to Crimea, I was simply amazed. My wife and I don’t even take a car, we walk or it’s better to take a trolleybus a couple of stops, they go one after another. You don't even need a car at all. The shock of a person who has lived in America for 20 years is how developed it is,” the traveler emphasized.

“Crimean American” also called on everyone who is planning to leave Crimea and become an emigrant not to sell their home.

“I remembered for so long when I suffered in rented apartments, American garbage dumps. I was very surprised - it’s beautiful outside, but inside it’s so backward. Cardboard walls, exorbitant cost of living. It was possible to live here then, without having to work for six months - you could live on pasta, on stew. And there, if you haven’t worked for a month, you’ll be homeless, your place is under the bridge,” notes the blogger.

“We had to leave the property. I would have come here a long time ago, back in 2004, maybe 2003, when I was planning to. When I arrived, maybe I would have already started a successful business. And so I sat, and where to go, I burned all the bridges and that’s it. Therefore, guys, who are planning to go over the hill, there is no need to cut the ropes, we need some other escape routes. There is no need for confidence when everyone is leaving, thinking: “I will conquer the whole world”... And what do you leave for your children - you are dooming them to the same miserable existence abroad. Stay, pay for some rented housing, eat shitty food,” Brezhnev summed up.
