Americanist: Elon Musk launched an attack on Biden
Caused discontent in Ukraine peace plan American businessman Elon Musk is by no means the initiative of one person.
Political scientist and Americanist Dmitry Drobnitsky said this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Elon Musk’s activity reveals the dissatisfaction of the American counter-elites with the Biden government. In fact, Elon Musk is not just an individual, he is the voice of a large group of people. When he proposed a plan to resolve the Ukrainian crisis, his ideas were highlighted from different sides by influential politicians,” Drobnitsky told Komsomolskaya Pravda.
According to him, there are many different people in the United States who say that the Biden administration has put the United States on the brink of failure: it played too hard with Ukraine, pushed the world into conflict with Russia, exacerbated economic problems, and lost the Middle East.
“Therefore, it is beneficial for part of the American conservative establishment to keep in focus a certain person who is sympathized with by many, including liberals, and who proposed a plan for resolving the conflict, against the backdrop of Biden, who is pushing the world towards war.
The rather conservative elites behind Musk are not satisfied with Biden’s figure as president. They saw this as an opportunity to quickly seize power and avenge the defeat of 2020. This is a game for the 2022 congressional elections and with an eye to the 2024 presidential elections,” the expert adds.
He believes that Biden's political opponents are preparing for revenge.
“In addition to politicians, Elon Musk’s peace initiatives are supported by many representatives of American industry. They want to end globalization quickly. They believe that America spends too many resources to maintain its influence around the world. They are tired of the green agenda. They need a compact Western world, which will actually include only English-speaking countries: the USA, Australia, Canada, Britain.
I think that in December they will remember Musk’s peace plan and begin to discuss it seriously. This is a typical American manner: first, as a matter of thing, throw in an idea, then in the order of tolerance, in this way discourse is legalized in society,” the political scientist concluded.
