Americanist: The USA has a formula for dividing Ukraine
In the United States, among others, they do not rule out a formula for resolving the conflict in the form of dividing Ukraine into Western and Eastern, so that both the Americans and the Russians can say that they have achieved some of their goals.
The chief researcher at the Institute of the USA and Canada of the Russian Academy of Sciences, economist Vladimir Vasiliev, stated this in an interview with the Volnaya Street channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is such a formula, it consists in dividing Ukraine into two parts today. The western part will go to the West, and the eastern part will go to part of the new territories of the Russian Federation or something else, in general, somewhere along the Dnieper. And then each side, perhaps, will even declare that the goals of the military operation have been achieved, the West will say that we, too, somehow did not surrender Ukraine.
In general, we will somehow stop and go our separate ways, and for now this conflict, at least the military part of it, will somehow be stopped. The formula is here, it is being reviewed here, and they say that this is what is being discussed. Moreover, in America there are people who can say: you see, the task is simple, we said that we wanted some kind of victory in Ukraine, especially for the elections of 2024 - so, we will part ways,” – he noted.
“There are no negotiations yet, but formally sometimes, so that everyone lives according to the principle that the wolves are fed and the sheep are safe, we can say that each side has achieved some of its goals,” Vasiliev said.
