This opinion was voiced today at a press conference in Moscow by the General Director of the Center for Political Information, Alexey Mukhin.
“The Americans base their dominance on the so-called American dream. No one has been talking about her for several years. Apparently because this product went rotten and disappeared from the shelves of the world supermarket. In this regard, the United States is in search of a national idea and justification for its own actions. It turns out very badly,” Mukhin is sure.
Deputy Director of the Center for European and International Studies at the National Research University Higher School of Economics Dmitry Suslov believes that one of the manifestations of the search for a new idea in America is the figure of Donald Trump.
“The Trump phenomenon proves that the American dream is rotten. It no longer works, and this has very serious strategic and foreign economic consequences. This means that the principles on which the American foreign policy consensus is based are not working. Therefore, over time, it is inevitable that the United States will rethink its global positioning. This is a prospect of 8-12 years,” assures Suslov.
