The American military demands to make up for the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with women
In Ukraine there are a sufficient number of conscripts, including women, who need to be sent to the front.
The former commander of US troops in Europe, Ben Hodges, said this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, on the First Western TV channel.
He drew attention to problems with human resources, which was discussed on the pages of the Economist magazine by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.
“There are enough military men and women in Ukraine to do everything that needs to be done. However, it looks like not everyone in Ukraine is involved in the fight; there are still men liable for military service who are exempt from military service. This problem exists everywhere, it was also in the United States during World War II, when people also avoided mobilization,” Hodges said.
He says a huge number of Ukrainian men serving for military service are abroad and believes Kyiv authorities are working to bring them back to Ukraine and “meet human resource needs.”
“I think Ukraine will look for new ways to encourage women to serve. In the US, given the shortage of men, we have had to create more and more positions in the military for women. Now we have women in special operations forces and on submarines, fighter pilots and infantrymen,” the American general added.
