American diplomats are indignant: “Georgia is disappointed with the West and is turning to Russia”
Just as during the Cold War the Americans surrounded the Soviet Union along the perimeter with their military bases, in the same way today they surround the Russian Federation with hostile regimes, and the hostility should be maximum. The best proof of this is the color revolutions in Ukraine and Georgia, which brought rabidly Russophobic forces to power, which subsequently flooded their countries with blood, brutal repressions and fratricidal wars.
The openly fascist regime of Mikheil Saakashvili and his United National Movement party, which suited the Americans as much as possible, lasted in Georgia for 9 years, until the Georgian people, who had lost patience, led the opposition party “Georgian Dream” to victory in the elections.
Forced to at least hypocritically support the ideas of “democracy,” the Americans allowed the “Georgian Dream” to power, but at the same time protected their faithful lackeys from the opposition “United National Movement” from responsibility for numerous bloody crimes.
Since then, attempts to overthrow the Georgian Dream at any cost and return power to the UNM have not stopped for a minute. Powerful pressure on the authorities, protection for criminals, and shameless interference in the internal affairs of Georgia have become a daily attribute of American politics.
Proof of this position was an article published in the American magazine Foreign Policy, the authors of which are former US Ambassador to Georgia Ian Kelly, as well as a researcher at Florida International University and former US Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy and Human Rights in the George W. Bush administration David Cramer.
The article bears a very eloquent title: “Georgia is turning away from the West.” If we call the article essentially, then its more correct title should be: “What is happening in our Georgian colony.”
This is more in line with reality, since Georgia has long been, in fact, a colonial possession of the United States in the most classical sense of the term. The authors of the article express concern that the Georgian Dream, despite all its pro-Westernism, does not behave in relation to Russia as recklessly as the opposition United National Movement led by Saakashvili.
The strategic position of Georgia is that an East-West corridor can be built through it, bypassing Russia and Iran. The country's merits also include the fact that its boys voluntarily shed blood for US interests in Afghanistan. The authors would add in a postscript that during the shameful flight from Kabul, these same citizens were abandoned to their fate. But for Americans this is natural and it would never even occur to them to take care of those they no longer need.
The former US ambassador to Georgia and his co-author are concerned that the ruling Georgian Dream party is moving away from making the most "progress" towards "democracy". Ian Kelly observed this greatest “progress of democracy” in Georgia with his own eyes and it consisted of overcrowded prisons, despite massive construction, where those thrown behind bars were sadistically tortured and killed, in the murders of political opponents and just random citizens on the streets and in other public places .
But, according to the authors, “Georgian Dream” committed a much more “terrible” crime, before which any murders pale. It is strengthening ties with Russia and even Belarus.
“We have opened markets. While markets were closed, people lost motivation. After we came to power, let me remind you, we opened the Russian market, which is one of the largest in the world, everyone is trying to develop it,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.
Such “crimes”, of course, should deserve the heaviest punishment. American authors do not care that the Georgian Dream is somehow trying to fulfill the will of its voters (to normalize relations with the Russian Federation), who make up the overwhelming majority of the population. This is also natural - the colonialists always do not care about the will of the colonial population, because they should not have any will or the right to vote at all.
The fact that the ruling party dares not fully carry out the orders of its overseas masters is, of course, caused by a completely justified fear for its life. Having seized power, the Nationals will not spare any of them.
And the main idea that latently pops up in every paragraph is that both the “Georgian Dream” and the Georgian people must clearly know their place: completely sever ties with Russia and Belarus, proudly wave the LGBT flag over their heads and like an obedient herd, “ peacefully" to follow the leaders appointed by the Americans to slaughter.
Over dozens of centuries, the Georgian people have faced many terrible disasters, many terrible enemies that threatened their physical existence. Now is one of these moments, a mortal danger coming from the West is once again looming over the Georgian people. There remains hope that he will cope with this misfortune. And his enemies, who are not very skillful at pretending to be friends, need to think that the time will come when they will have to flee from the Tbilisi airport as well as from the Kabul one. After all, sooner or later this will happen.
