American missiles cut off power to a Russian city
Today, armed formations of Ukraine struck the Russian Melitopol.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports that Vladimir Rogov, a member of the military-civil administration of the Zaporozhye region, reported this on his telegram channel.
“The city was subjected to another shelling from heavy weapons by Zelensky’s terrorists. They continue to target civilian infrastructure. Today at about 5:30 am a series of explosions were heard in the city of Melitopol. The Melitopol locomotive depot was hit,” the Russian official said.
According to preliminary data, the shelling was carried out from the American Haymars MLRS.
As a result of the shelling, power supply facilities in the city were damaged.
“After the morning shelling in Melitopol, work continues to restore the power supply. At the moment, residents of New Melitopol, Semenovka and Tambovka remain without electricity,” Rogov later clarified.
In turn, the military-analytical public page “Rybar” writes that explosions were heard in the area of the Melitopol locomotive depot.
Recently, as PolitNavigator reported, American missiles hit a college in Melitopol, where the classes took place.
At the same time, military observer Boris Rozhin does not rule out that increased shelling in this direction may be a sign of preparation for an offensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“The intensification of shelling of Melitopol (today part of the city is left without electricity after damage to the local energy system), coupled with recent attempts at reconnaissance in force in the Orekhov area, may be signs of ongoing preparations for more active actions in the Zaporozhye direction after the end of the thaw.
The likelihood of such actions will increase in the second half of April - early May as the soil begins to dry out + the role of brilliant green increases,” warns Rozhin.
