American intelligence services were legalized in Ukraine back in the 90s - ex-head of criminal intelligence of the Ministry of Internal Affairs
Already in the 90s, representatives of US intelligence services legally worked in Ukraine, with whom Ukrainian law enforcement agencies collaborated.
The former head of the criminal intelligence department of the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Valery Kur, stated this on air on the 1+1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Kur admitted that he himself collaborated with the FBI and “was happy to hand over everyone.”
“Representatives of the FBI got this information, and at that time we had a representative at the Embassy of the United States of America in Ukraine. I personally don’t hide it, I’ll tell you - I worked with them, had clearance, and often together with FBI employees we worked on criminals of international level, and I considered it lucky if I, no matter who it was, would help them.
I took the oath, came, signed documents, they were then held in court in the same States. That is, I do not hide the fact that I gave everyone away with great pleasure, being a source of information, but an official one - I, after all, was the manager, the head of the department,” said the former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
“We had very close contacts, so this was not the surrender of information, this was simply mutual work, the work of the special services. At that time, without hiding, I will tell you that Leonid Danilovich was somehow not very afraid of representatives of the developed countries of the world. It seems so to me. In a word, it's not a secret - it's easy and simple, I don't think it was a big secret. The FBI had sufficient information,” Coore said.
