American intelligence agencies helped Russia at the World Cup
A good example of close interaction between Russian intelligence services and their American colleagues was shown by the FIFA World Cup held in Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this broadcast on the Russia-24 channel during a briefing in Helsinki following the meetings of the heads of the United States and Russia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I would like to note that our special services are working, and they are working very successfully. The most recent example is close operational cooperation with a group of American security experts within the framework of the World Cup that ended yesterday in Russia,” the Russian president said.
“In general, it is useful to transfer contacts through the special services to a systematic basis. “I reminded the US President of the proposal to recreate the anti-terror working group,” added Vladimir Putin.
