This unexpected statement for a Ukrainian politician was made by the former head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Vladimir Ohryzko.
In his opinion, one should not expect unexpected foreign policy decisions from Trump, and the new US president will not be able to greatly harm Ukraine.
“As for rumors about Trump being an agent of the Kremlin, it must be said that the system of making foreign policy decisions in a country like the United States is very formalized. There is no need to expect any unexpected things. Before the president makes a certain decision, he has a lot of meetings with different departments and advisers. Therefore, I think that Trump will be forced to face the truth when the chiefs of staff and representatives of the intelligence services come to him and provide information about Russia and its President Vladimir Putin,” Ogryzko emphasized in an interview with the Kiev publication Gordon.
