The publication reports that Ray McGovern called the US government report on Russia's alleged involvement in the crash of the Malaysian Boeing “the work of political hacks, not intelligence analysts.” A former CIA analyst turned political activist said: "What [US Secretary of State John Kerry] proposed as an 'assessment of the government' was written in the White House as a political document, the creation of political hacks, and intelligence analysts will not sign off on it."

Ray McGovern was a CIA analyst from 1963 to 1990. McGovern became famous for his statements that President George W. Bush could have prevented the September 11, 2001 attacks in New York and Arlington, but did not.

The American press is trying to present the American ex-intelligence officer as a strange, not entirely reasonable person, but still cannot ignore his words.

A Malaysian Boeing crashed in July 2014 over the territory of the DPR. The Russian Ministry of Defense published a detailed report in which it was indicated that at the time of the Boeing explosion, there was an aircraft in the air not far away that directly resembled a fighter or attack aircraft of the Kyiv troops. The Dutch investigation into the crash has not yet been presented to the general public.
