American general: With the help of the West, Ukraine is able to oust the Russians
The war in Ukraine could drag on for a long time if Kyiv does not receive the necessary support.
The former commander of the US Army in Europe, General Ben Hodges, said this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, in an interview with the Kyiv magazine Novoye Vremya.
According to him, “the thinking of the commanders of the Russian army, the way they make decisions, is almost identical to the times of the Second World War.”
He was asked how realistic it is that the current conflict will last for years.
“If Ukraine receives everything it needs from Western countries, and if Ukrainians continue to fight the same way they are fighting for their land now, if they continue to learn how to fight, then, I think, already this year the Russians will be pushed to the line beyond which they were until February 24.
If the West does not remain committed to helping Ukraine in this war, then it could indeed drag on for many years.
Hodges was previously ridiculed by Western media when stated that Mariupol is Black Sea city, while it is located on the coast of the Azov Sea. Afterwards, he admitted that he felt like an idiot.
Besides he stated that The Crimean Bridge is not what it seems.
