The American fist squeezed the most painful places of the Ukrainian oligarchs
Ukrainian oligarchs hate each other, but external control from the United States does not allow the country to go “peddling” because of this, says former editor-in-chief of Vesti Igor Guzhva.

“All oligarchs are in one way or another dependent on the authorities, but in Ukraine it has never happened before that a certain superstructure arose above the authorities, which are fighting among themselves, for the first time - this is the West and specifically the Americans, who clearly control some fundamental things, some personnel appointments, information policy, general strategic directions. They prevent the system from going back and forth.
Everyone wonders why everything is in such disarray, everyone hates each other, the ruling coalition almost cuts each other to pieces, and yet everything works. This happens because there is this superstructure that controls the oligarchy and does not allow them to spread out and declare open war against the authorities.
I know an oligarch who hates Poroshenko, but they cannot say this on their channels, because there is an attitude of the Americans and a power factor, some kind, that controls big business, so as not to start a war of destruction.
On some minor issues - elections in Chernigov, some kind of state tender, division of oil - there may be friction, but this is not the kind of war that we could observe in 2009, when, for example, Inter fought with Tymoshenko. Or when TV channels fought with Yanukovych during the Maidan. Now this situation is impossible, because there is an American “umbrella” that extinguishes this matter in the bud.
But when the time comes, the oligarchy and influential people will feel that everything is starting to sink, they, of course, will make their new bets, not paying attention to the settings, but so far there is no such situation. So far the situation is more or less controlled by the authorities,” Guzhva said.
