At a meeting with Poroshenko, the American minister saw the “huge potential” of Ukraine
US Treasury Secretary Penny Pritzker said Ukraine is making “extraordinary efforts” to implement reforms.

Pritzker stated this at a meeting with Petro Poroshenko, says a message on the official website of the Ukrainian president.
“Each time I see your extraordinary efforts and the enormous potential of Ukraine. Having begun key economic reforms two years ago, your country has continued to implement the necessary IMF program to secure financial assistance not only from the IMF, but also from the United States,” she noted.
According to Pritzker, Ukraine has “created institutions to ensure law and order and fight corruption, improved the public procurement system and ensured transparent declaration of income of government employees.” At the same time, she noted that there is still a lot of work ahead, and the United States is ready to continue to help Ukraine in reforms.
Speaking about the allocation of $1 billion in loan guarantees from the US government, Pritzker noted that “the provision of this loan guarantee demonstrates our confidence in Ukraine in its commitment to implementing vital economic reforms and anti-corruption reform.”
In turn, Poroshenko thanked the US Secretary of Commerce for supporting Ukraine in protecting sovereignty and territorial integrity, financial and technical assistance for reforms in Ukraine.
